{Letter #24} training!
Hello, happy Easter and happy Conference weekend everyone!! I hope you had a great week!
SO much has happened the past couple weeks and I am the worst at emailing so here are just a few of the many highlights :
-we put our friend Erika on date a couple weeks ago! It's been about 6 months teaching her and we're so excited!!
-Temple Square!! We got to do a tour of Temple Square with our friend and her family!! It ended up being a really powerful and cool experience for her and us! 10/10

-a really good lesson with some of our other friends!
-transfers!! The time has already come π§ but... I'm staying here in Park Ridge (pt. 3)!! My new companion, Hermana Stapley is fresh out of the MTC! She's awesome!! In addition to our part of the Spanish ward, we're also now working with 3 of the English wards in the stake as well. You could say I'm sufficiently stressed trying to figure everything out but it's all so good :)
- The Book of Mormon!! Obviously. My testimony has been strengthened even just during this week of the power of the Book of Mormon in our lives. I've been able to witness how reading it can literally change the course of a person's life.
Spiritual thought:
We were able to teach a friend this week about Lehi's vision (1 Nephi 8). One thing that I was thinking a lot about before and during the lesson is about how it says that the people were "clinging to the iron rod". That was the only way they were going to get through the darkness. It's cool to think about that symbolism in our life. If the iron rod represents the word of God, then what is it that we should be "clinging" to? The scriptures and words of the prophets! They are the messengers of the word of God. To help guide us through the darkness that sometimes this world is. I know that President Nelson is the prophet not just for the church, but for the world. From him we can learn of Jesus Christ, who, if we draw close to and trust, can heal us and give us hope. I am so excited to hear from him this weekend! I hope all of you get the chance to listen, because I can promise that you will hear the answers and the hope that you specifically need.
Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have a beautiful week!! Love you❤

2-final activity with the district last week... not to flex, but I may or may not have bowled 164 in one round. Pretty proud of that haha
6. A peanut butter, roasted banana, jam, and bacon sandwich I made at the same time as my sister, Ellie. It was our way of celebrating her 16th birthday together.
