Last Transfer {Letter #33}

Image
Hello everyone!! Happy Monday!! Get ready because these past like 3 weeks (or whenever it was that I last wrote a weekly) have been crazy ones!! Here are some highlights (and there are more in picture form at the end😁) Highlights: ◇We got the cops called on us!! We accidentally parked in front of someone's illegal driveway so they called the police on us.... No worries though it all turned out well haha ◇We've been listening to Christmas music for about 3 months now and are super excited that it's officially Christmas season now πŸŽ„πŸ₯³ ◇We met some of the most prepared people ever! We "randomly" knocked on their door, taught them the Restoration, and put them on date to be baptized! They already had been to church a couple times and knew that the restored gospel is true! ◇We got to eat Thanksgiving with a cute family in our stake. It was actually my first time eating a meal with a member! It was amazing! ◇We got transfer calls this week! Sadly, I'm going to be ...

Letter #32 πŸ˜„

Hello hello everyone! Happy Monday! It's been pretty crazy but pretty dang good over here in West Jordan! Here are some highlights: ☆ We got transfer calls and we're all staying together in the area. The only change is that we're only working in the Spanish ward again, instead of the whole stake. We're so excited!   ☆ We've been meeting some amazing people that have been super prepared to hear about the gospel! One Hermana, Felipa, told us she would read the Book of Mormon every day before we even asked her to!! ☆ free resource event for Spanish speakers. Our mission advertised a bunch for this one event, and we got to help out with it. We were able to teach around 10 groups of people the Restoration as they left the event and it was super cool! ☆ morning runs! We've been running every morning and we always see the most beautiful sunrises. It's a great way to start the day :) Spiritual thought: Something that I have been thinking A LOT about this week is the...

{Letter #31} Happy October!

Image
Hello everyone! Happy October πŸŽƒ I hope you all are doing well and enjoyed conference weekend! Send me your favorite talks/quotes :) Life has been crazy over here in West Jordan, but so good. We've  seen so many miracles! Here are just a few highlights: -the temple!! My zone got to do a session at the Jordan River temple this week! It was only my second time, but it was amazing!! -finding lots of people to teach! My new companions are literal beasts and have been teaching me a lot about boldly, but lovingly, inviting people to come closer to Christ. -I prepared with a few questions for conference and I received so many answers and revelation to those and more questions that I didn't even know I had... -Our friends! We get to talk to such amazing people and I love hearing about how they've been able to grow their own faith. Spiritual thought: So many of the talks at conference this weekend I feel like were focused on having peace and unity through Jesus Christ. In my life, a...

{Letter #30} "Crazy Sick Blessed"

Image
Hey everyone!! How's it going?! I promise I'm still alive and doing well, although I haven't written in a while haha.... in fact, we were in a lesson the other day and the lady kept saying how she feels "Crazy sick blessed" and I think that accurately describes how I feel too! There are so many blessings and miracles all around! Some of the ones recently for us: -we've been finding new people to teach!! We had a time in there when we found out that one of our friends lived outside of our area and two more were moving outside of our area. We've come back since then and are working really hard to find some people that DO live in our area. -zone conference AND mission conference both in one week! We had Elder Gonzalez from the 70 come to visit us and it was awesome! -we had exchanges with our sister training leaders! It was good! I always learn so much :) -it rained!! As missionaries we teach about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ a lot. I've...

{Letter #29} Only in Utah

Image
JULY 23, 2021 Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well! We have an all-day p-day today for Pioneer day! Not going to lie, I think this is my first time doing anything for it but I'm definitely not complaining haha!! It's been a minute since I wrote an email but I am still here and so much has happened! Highlights: -I got permanently reassigned here to Utah! I am grateful to know for sure now and excited for these next six months here in SLC! -I don't know if I ever sent this update but I got whitewashed (my companion and I both came to the area together) into the Spanish ward that I started my mission in! We are also serving in the 6 English wards in the stake. It's been so fun!! -baptism!! Our friends Brynnley and Marcus got baptized a couple weeks ago and it was so amazing! The spirit was so strong! -New mission president! We were able to personally meet President and Sister Spencer this past week and they are so awesome!   -We've been working hard and seeing...

{Letter #28} 10 Minutes

Image
JUNE 28, 2021 Hey everyone!! I hope you're all doing well! A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks but here are some of the big highlights: -I got transferred! Back to my greenie area (the area I started in)! Except, now instead of just covering half the Spanish ward, we also cover the other 6 English wards in the stake. My companion and I both transferred into the area together (aka a whitewash) so it's been super crazy but sooo fun! -I gave my first talk in Spanish!! Due to some miscommunication, we ended up having 15 minutes before the meeting to prepare for the 10 minute talk 🀣 It was wild -biking!! Yes, I'm still in a biking area and lemme tell ya-for being in a valley our area is not very flat. As in our stake is literally a hill and we live at the bottom of it haha... Even though we kinda die a little bit every day, it's honestly so fun Spiritual thought: I was thinking a lot this week about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We hear so often that we need to ...

{Letter #27} The Power of Prayer

Image
from June 7, 2021 Hellooo amazing people!! I don't have much to update on- we've been super busy, have biked a ton, have seen a lot of miracles, and are loving it here in West Jordan!! I did have a super awesome study about prayer this week and I wanted to share a little quote with you from President Ballard: "No matter where you live, what language you speak, or the challenges you face, God hears and answers you in His own way and in His own time. Because we are His children, we can approach Him to seek help, solace, and a renewed desire to make a positive difference in the world. Praying for justice, peace, the poor, and the sick is often not enough. After we kneel in prayer, we need to get up from our knees and do what we can to help—to help both ourselves and others." God loves us so much! Being on the mission has only confirmed and strengthened my testimony of that. And He has a plan for each of us, gifts that He's given each of us to help us make a positive...
