{Letter #20} God is good!
Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic week!! We had another great one here in west Salt Lake City!!
Highlights:
🔥we taught the Restoration to a new friend using a method our assistants to the president taught us during zone conference and it was so good!! Hermana Brown and I agreed that it was probably the best lesson either of us have been a part of on our missions so far. Our friend didn't turn out to live in our area (we may or may not have shed a few tears about it.... it's fine....), but it was such a cool experience!
💻family history!! One of our other friends is really interested in family history so we've been helping her with that! It's been so cool go be able to help her set up her family tree! She even found the names of her great-grandparents!! It's made me go back and look at my family history too and it's just awesome!! I highly recommend!
❄we got to call some missionaries in Perú this week and they thought it was so cool that we get to serve in Utah! They asked us to take a picture with a sign that says "[their names] were here." We decided to take one in the snow :)
🏠knocking doors?! We had some changes in our rules so we can knock on certain people's doors to offer service! I knocked my first door 6 months into my mission haha!!
Thought:
I loooove Alma 26:35 which says, "Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name."
I love that! God is so good!! He loves us each individually and wants us each to have joy! And because he understands and comprehends us individually, he knows what we need to achieve that. Sometimes that means having challenges. But he never leaves us alone! I don't think there's a greater reason to rejoice than that!
I hope you are all able to have a wonderful week!! Love you all!!
Love,
Hermana Goold
