{Letter #7} The Lord is My Strength

Hello friends!! I hope everyone had an awesome week.

Here are some highlights:
-lessons. At first glance covid-missionary-life doesn't seem very glamorous. We spend hours every day sitting on our apartment floor in front of a phone (or at our church building if we're being fancy), but we have seen so so many miracles this week.

-spontaneous dance party after a long day... thats all I'm going to say about that one.

-talks/studies. We have a good chunk of ours days reserved for studying and it's been so amazing. After we do personal and companionship study, we usually have time to listen to talks together. This week I loved two that are very different from eachother but both so good: Stand Forever and Fourth Floor, Last Door

-service!! On Saturday we got to help someone fix up their backyard. We shoveled dirt, moved a bunch of rocks, and put in grass and it was so fun to be outside and do something different.

-hike!! This morning to start off our p-day, we went for a hike with some of our district, and it made me so happy. Utah is sooo beautiful!!

Thought:
I talked about my studies earlier as a highlight but that may be stretching it a bit for my personal study haha. This week I've been struggling through the Isaiah chapters in 2 Nephi (please let me know if you can interpret them). The majority of the time I'm not sure exactly what Isaiah is talking about BUT there are also some GEMS. Like this one:

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation." (2 Nephi 22:2)

If Jesus Christ, the greatest man who has ever lived, knows you, loves you, and suffered all things to save you, then what do you have to fear? He gives us STRENGTH to conquer our fears.

And with that, I hope you guys have an amazing week!! I've said it before and I'll say it again but seriously email me whenever!!! I can only respond on Mondays (before 6pm), but I love love hearing from you guys ay time of the week.

Love you!!

Hermana Goold
