{Letter #35} What Would You Do For $100?

Hey everyone! Merry ChristmasπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽ❄ I hope you've all had an amazing week!! It's been awesome over here in YSA! Here are a few highlights from this week:

☆We met our amazing friend, Rodrigo. He's only been meeting with the missionaries for a couple weeks (like literally less than 2) and he already has such a great love for the Book of Mormon. He said that he felt like he was missing something in his life and when he started learning about the gospel it kind of filled that hole.
☆Our friend, Armando, got baptized! Not very many members of the ward showed up because of the holidays, but he was so grateful and happy :)
☆We had an awesome Christmas devotional this week and it helped me really remember what we celebrate this time of year. I really think that you can't get better than Christmases on the mission...
☆We had a party with our district on Christmas!! It was so fun! Someone offered an elder $100 to chug a bottle of Martinellis and... he did it....😳

Spiritual thought:
Because of Christmas, I've been thinking a lot about Jesus Christ and His life. Why do we celebrate His birth every year? Because He lived the perfect life and showed us the perfect example. Because He paid the price for our sins so we wouldn't have to. He made it so we can get the $100. Even when we're trying really hard and we mess up, He helps us. Even when we're not really trying hard and we mess up, He helps us. He helps us find our way back to the path that leads to eternal joy. So, as you're setting your goals for the new year, what can you do to better follow Him this year? What would you do for $100?πŸ˜‰
